1. Open the About This Mac window.

2. Check the system information

4. Use Quick Look on the desktop
You can use Quick Look in the Finder or on the desktop. To do this, however, first make sure you are in the Finder and click in the top menu bar Finder > Preferences. Activate next hard drives of the View these items on the desktop section of General Tab. It will now start showing your Mac’s internal drive icon on the desktop.
Once the internal drive icon appears on your Mac’s desktop, click on it to select it and press Place. This will show you the total storage size and what’s still available in the Quick Look popup.
5. Run a terminal command
