The Microsoft Store is an important part of Windows. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon to experience issues with the store apps or the store itself. For example, you might encounter a common error that says “The Microsoft Store cache may be corrupted”.
In this case, you will not be able to download the new apps or update the installed ones from the Microsoft Store. In some cases, you might not even be able to open the Microsoft Store app. It can be very frustrating, so let’s examine what to do when you encounter this error.
Getting Started in Fixing Corrupted Cache Error on Microsoft Store
If you have a problem with Windows, restarting your device should be the first step in fixing it. If you give your PC a restart, it may get the blank board it needs to get the Microsoft Store back on track.
If that doesn’t work, you can close any running Microsoft apps and try accessing the store again to see if the error persists. Finally, try closing all other applications (especially third-party applications) and check the Microsoft Store again.

1. Run the Windows Store Troubleshooter
Windows has built-in troubleshooters for various apps and features to help you identify and sometimes fix the problem. Therefore, you can run the Windows Store troubleshooter as the first step in resolving issues related to the Microsoft Store.
Here’s how you can do it:
Open that Windows settings App.
Go to Update and security the settings.
click Troubleshooting in the left sidebar.
Click on Additional bug fixes in the right area.
Scroll down and click Windows Store apps.
click Run the troubleshooter.
Wait until troubleshooting detects and fixes problems in your shop. Once the process is complete, restart your Microsoft Store. If it’s easily accessible, you can start downloading and updating games. If it doesn’t, reset the Microsoft Store.
2. Reset the Microsoft Store
Microsoft offers its users the WSReset tool to reset the Microsoft Store while keeping their apps and settings intact. Otherwise, it will not be possible to reset the Microsoft Store without changing your account settings and leaving all of the installed apps.
Windows 10 users can find the WSReset tool in C: / Windows / System32 You can also access it directly by searching for WSReset in Windows search. When you tap the WSReset command in the search results, a command window opens.

3. Update date and language settings

Navigate to the Time & language the settings.
Click on region in the left sidebar.
Make sure the correct region or country is selected.
If you change the region, you will automatically get the correct time for your region. However, if the date or time is still incorrect, you should change them as well.
Click on Appointment time in the left sidebar. Turn off the toggles for Set the time automatically and Set the time zone automatically. Then click on that Change Button at the bottom right Set the date and time manually. Enter the correct one date and Time and click Change. After that, you can turn both switches above on again.
4. Update the Microsoft Store app
If the error persists, if the Microsoft Store is still not responding, you can update the Microsoft Store apps. However, you can only run this fix if you have access to the Microsoft Store.
Chances are that some of your apps are out of date and not automatically updated, causing store cache issues.
Store apps may already be updated, especially if you leave Windows automatic updates turned on at all times. If not, here’s how you can check for updates:
Open minded Microsoft Store.
Click the in the upper right corner three horizontal points.
Go to Downloads and updates.
Then click on Get updates.
If updating Store apps doesn’t fix the cache issue, run Microsoft Scan to make sure it’s not malware to blame. Before doing this, turn off antivirus to make sure this isn’t the culprit.
5. Disable your antivirus
Still can’t download or update apps from the Microsoft Store? In this case, try to uninstall any antivirus programs running in the background. If possible, temporarily uninstall it.
Once the antivirus is turned off, check that your Microsoft Store is working normally. If not, sign in with a different Microsoft account to make sure there is no operation to make your store function normally.
If changing the account fixes the problem, then something is wrong with your other account, the one with Store issues. Then either restore a previous restore point or reset your operating system settings.
Fixing Microsoft Store Errors
