SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro
A new benchmark
Read our detailed test report
advantages
-
Premium audio quality
-
Extensive sonar software
-
High quality ANC
-
Comfortable fit with multiple adjustment points
-
Fully retractable microphone
-
Two USB inputs
Disadvantages
-
GameDAC does not fully integrate with Sonar
-
The microphone tends to pick up noise
-
Spatial audio can have awkward interactions with EQ
There are wireless gaming headsets and wireless noise canceling headphones. Two product categories with two different use cases.
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is kind of the best of both worlds. The ANC (active noise canceling) is better than any gaming headset we’ve tested, and the microphone is fully retractable so it’s barely noticeable. Of course, audio quality is key, and the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless once again proves itself to be a notch above the competition.

Sonos Ray soundbar
The start of something great
Read our detailed test report
advantages
-
Compact for versatile placement
-
Impressive sound for its size
-
Expandable to a fully-fledged 5.1 system
-
Easy setup and control
Disadvantages
-
Expensive for a small soundbar
-
Mid-range details are a little lacking
Sonos has made a name for itself with its wireless multi-room audio. It’s also released a few soundbars over the years, but none come cheap. That’s where the Sonos Ray comes in. It’s still not cheap, but at $279 it’s significantly cheaper than anything else Sonos has to offer.
And what you get in return is a compact soundbar that sounds remarkably impressive for its size. It’s easy to set up and of course expandable to a full 5.1 system when you’re ready to take the plunge.

-

Disadvantages

HDR support is so-so
Next-generation panel types such as OLED and Mini-LED offer significantly deeper blacks and brighter peak luminance, but are still extremely rare, especially in large PC monitors. However, this new Dell monitor takes a different approach and uses LG’s new “IPS Black” technology to achieve better contrast.
While the new Dell UltraSharp 32 4K monitor (U3223GE) isn’t quite competitive with OLED, it definitely takes IPS displays to the next level. Additionally, this UltraSharp monitor offers the same great design and useful ports (and even a KVM switch!) that you would expect from Dell’s premium displays.

If you didn’t think there was room for innovation in a simple air purifier, check out what LG is doing with its PuriCare AeroTower. As an oscillating fan, the AeroTower improves the air quality in your room. In our testing, we’ve found that cleaning is surprisingly efficient while remaining quiet.
It has multiple cooling modes and tracks all cleaning through the app. While $600 is a lot of money for an air purifier, this is the best we’ve tested to date.

-
Fantastic thermal design
-
First-class processing quality

Pre-built gaming PCs usually compromise, no matter how good they are. However, the Falcon NW Tiki is a compact gaming PC that’s close to perfection.
The thermal design is top notch and for a PC of this size it produces very limited fan noise. All of this translates into awesome 4K gaming and easy upgrades well into the future. And of course, the build quality, cable management, and customization options are impeccable. If you can afford the premium price that comes with a boutique PC like this, you won’t be disappointed.

Great sound with massive bass
-
Huge battery capacity
-
Very good noise cancellation
-
Bluetooth multipoint
-
IPX4 water resistance
-
aptX Adaptive
Disadvantages
-
No wireless charging
-

Bulky charging case
These Audio-Technica wireless earbuds are the opposite of Apple’s iconic AirPods. They are black, voluminous and have an enormous bass. When was the last time you could say that about a pair of noise-cancelling earbuds?
The buds also have both very good ANC and long battery life. You’ll have to put up with the big suitcase, of course. But when it comes to battery life and low-end performance, the CKS50TW has no competition at its price point.
