Three and a half years after the Chinese technology group NetEase acquired a minority stake in (from and glory), it devours the rest of the developer. NetEase didn’t reveal how much it is spending to buy out the studio, which will be the first in Europe.
After Quantic Dream officially becomes a NetEase subsidiary, it will continue to work independently as a studio and publisher of own and third-party titles. In addition, it will be able to take advantage of NetEase’s game development capabilities.
The studio has a few projects in the pipeline. It provided the first look at last December , set in the High Republic era of a certain galaxy that is far, far away. Earlier this month, during Gamescom, it announced that it was releasing a game called . Parallel Studio is developing this title using Quantic Dream’s motion capture, animation and voice over know-how.
This acquisition marks the latest in a long, long list of studio acquisitions this year. Among others Sony destiny 2 Developers Bungie and, to help, Savage Game Studio. Along with Tencent, it just acquired a sizable minority stake elden ring Studio FromSoftware.
