Fourteen days Chapter 2 – Season 8 is still fresh, but players had access to it long enough to notice one major problem: it takes too much time and loops to get enough XP to level up. The problem has become more and more apparent as players level up, leading to complaints on social media and now finally a response from Epic Games.
If you’ve noticed that it takes an unusually long time to get enough XP to earn the next Battle Stars, you’re not the only one. It’s unclear if this slow grind is due to how the punch cards and quests are set up this season, or if they just don’t reward players with enough XP to level up at a decent rate.
Epic hasn’t cleared up the reason for the problem at this point, but said in a tweet this week that this season’s XP rate is “not where we’d like it to be”. Because of this, the company is currently working on improvements to the problem – hopefully ones that will increase the XP win rate in the future.
It will be some time for these tweaks to arrive, and Epic promises to return on September 28th with details of the changes it is working on. The update will likely be announced as a follow-up tweet on the company’s website Fourteen days Status website, but depending on how extensive they are, the company can detail them on the game’s blog.
Until then, players can continue to play as usual, complete quests, purchase in-game items such as ammunition boxes and complete punch cards to earn XP. The current XP progress of each player is shown as a glowing bar at the bottom of the screen – as soon as the bar is completely colored, the player receives Battle Stars, which he can redeem for Battle Pass items.
