Fobia – St. Dinfna Hotel is a newly announced survival horror game opening its doors this year that invites players to survive a hotel infested with monsters. Its resource management and puzzle-solving evokes shadows of a modern-day Resident Evil in a way that catches our attention, as does its time-travelling hook.
Players control young journalist Roberto, who investigates the notoriously haunted St Dinfna Hotel. The building in Treze Trilhas, Santa Catarina, Brazil has been the subject of rumors of enforced disappearances linked to paranormal phenomena and it’s your job to get to the bottom of it all. Spoilers: the hotel is infested with spooky creatures that want to kill you.
Survival requires a thoughtful use of resources. Depending on your inventory, running and hiding may be better than fighting the monstrosity that’s chasing you. St. Dinfna is filled with mysteries and Roberto possesses a mysterious camera that connects him to parallel realities, allowing players to explore past, present and future timelines to uncover all of the hotel’s mysteries. the Game site also mentions that players will control another protagonist alongside Roberto, with both stories intertwining into a grand finale.
Fobia – St. Dinfna Hotel’s multiversal storytelling adds an intriguing layer to the usual haunted house affair, and we’re excited to see how it unfolds when it later hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One appears , and PC.
