Epic Games released a new game mode for back in August Fourteen days called Fortnite scammers. The mode was a Fourteen days– themed version of the mafia / werewolf party game that became popular in video game format by Between us, which exploded in popularity during the pandemic. There was only one problem with the rollout of Fortnite scammersas there was no mention Between us – a game that clearly inspired it – seen everywhere.
That didn’t go down well with fans of Between us, and even some of the Innersloth developers and staff expressed disappointment that Epic did not reach out to the studio prior to launch Fortnite scammers. In a tweet, Innersloth co-founder Marcus Bromander even said that the studio had previously tried to partner with Epic Fortnite scammers got introduced.
Fast forward a couple of months and now it seems that Innersloth and Between us got the shout-out they were looking for in August. In a tweet published today, the official said Fourteen days Account finally said directly that Between us was the inspiration for that Fortnite scammers Mode.
In addition, an exchange between the two companies suggests that the collaboration that Bromander talked about back in August is finally happening. We have no idea what such a collaboration could mean, but it looks like the two companies are now working out exactly those details.
So, even if Innersloth wasn’t recognized as quickly as necessary, the studio got it in the end. We keep our eyes peeled for more information on this upcoming collaboration between Fourteen days and Between us, so stay tuned for this information.
