In Fortnite, we’ve finally been assigned The Origin’s final Covert Ops mission, and while it might seem simple at first glance, this one is a bit trickier than it first suggests – but we’ll get to that later, as first we need how always set up a device uplink. This time we have our choice between the river north of Rocky Reels, the western entrance to Tilted Towers, The Fortress or Command Cavern. Here’s where to place timed explosives in Fortnite.
Choose your poison, drop, make that connection, and you’ll hear that The Origin has a new mission for you – he wants you to blow up a bunch of Imaginary Order gear so they can hopefully we can’t do whatever they do with this doomsday gadget we’ve heard so much about – and we’ll be able to get this sweet, sweet Secret Sledge pickaxe for ourselves.
There are a total of three explosives that we must place and there are more than enough locations to choose from; Each of the areas where we set up the device uplink should have a few points marked on the map. Some of them can be quite difficult to spot, so make sure you are close to important IO devices like big computers, the airships or the fortress. There are also several locations in Command Cavern, but stay alert as the NPCs in these areas can be aggressive. Avoid or eliminate them and keep an eye on your map for exclamation marks and the distinct white glow of objective markers. If you’ve found one, you’re in luck; the others should be relatively close and easy to find.
Once you’ve placed all three explosives, The Origin will contact you to congratulate you on proving you have what it takes and thank you for possibly breaking the tide against the Have turned imaginary order. When you’re done, head to the lobby to be greeted with your prize. the Secret Sled Pickaxe in all its colorful glory.
