Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel has a list of forbidden and restricted cards to keep gameplay balanced and fair in ranked play. If you’ve recently delved into Konami’s free-to-play card game, you’ll know that there are a ton of cards to choose from secret packages just one way to expand your collection. Once you are familiar enough with the game mechanics, you can deviate from your original starter deckyou may be wondering which cards are blocked or why such a system is in place.
You may already be familiar with the concept of Yu-Gi-Oh ban lists – if a card is deemed too powerful, it can basically be moved to this list to maintain competitive balance. It’s also worth noting that Master Duel specifically uses a custom roster separate from the TCG and OCG versions. Like the original list, Master Duel’s banned and limited cards are likely to change in the future as new cards are added.
