Epic Games recently announced that Fortnite’s Chapter 3 will conclude in December, and now with less than two weeks until the end, the studio has released new details on how to compete in the Fracture Finale. Additionally, the team has a few more goodies for players to earn in the final days of Chapter 3.
Whether you team up with up to three other players or play solo, the fate of Battle Island is in your hands, according to Epic. While it’s still unclear exactly what we’ll be doing on December 3rd, we now know how to actually participate.
Participation in the Fortnite Fracture event
According to Epic Games, Fracture is a one-time in-game event that begins Saturday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. PT / 4:00 p.m. ET. A new “Fracture” playlist will go live thirty minutes before the start of the event and you can join it at that time until 1:40pm/4:40pm ET – after which the playlist will close.
The Fracture Event supports groups of up to four players. If you’re not lining up for the event with a bunch of friends but would like to team up with someone, you can create emotes with players during the event to form one. The last thing to note is that replays of the event will not be available. So, take all necessary measures to save your gameplay if you want to do this.
Epic Games also announced the Toasty Roast Emote, his ode to Chapter 3.
“As a reminder of the beginning of the end, anyone who logs into Fortnite between December 2nd at 6:00am PT/9:00am ET and December 4th at 11:45pm PT/2:45am ET will receive, the Toasty Roast emote.”
Chapter 3 isn’t quite over yet – Avian Ambush Week is live now and will run until November 29th. Loot chickens are proliferating and taking over surrounding wildlife, according to Epic. You can complete chicken-themed quests for XP, as well as bonus objectives that give you level-up tokens.
“After Avian Ambush Week, Bargain Bin Week begins,” reads a blog post. “From 9am ET on November 29th through 3pm on December 3rd, goods and services for characters will be heavily discounted, giving you more for your bars. Like Avian Ambush Week, complete special quests for XP, plus bonus objectives for Level Up Tokens.”
Ahead of the Chapter 3 finale, be sure to complete any loose ends you may have, including open quests, the Season 4 Battle Pass, and more.
