Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is very popular, but even it has its problems on Windows. Sometimes the game refuses to run at all, with no apparent reason why it’s not running.

1. Close unnecessary processes
There are chances that Windows 11 cannot open CS:GO because it does not have enough resources. Running resource-intensive apps like photo editing apps or another game can overwhelm your system. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to launch Task Manager and close any apps you no longer need.
If you don’t have many apps open but your computer is constantly slowing down, Windows may be suffering from high CPU usage.
2. Update graphics driver
If Windows cannot perform other graphics-intensive tasks besides launching CS:GO, there may be an issue with your graphics drivers. In this case, you should update drivers to fix outdated or corrupted drivers.

4. Update the game
Game developers are constantly releasing new updates and patches to keep the game running smoothly. If you cannot launch CS:GO, you should try updating the game.
If you downloaded the game from Steam, the game should update automatically. However, if you have changed the game’s update behavior to prevent this, you will need to update it manually. Here’s how you can do it on Steam:
- Launch the Steam app.
