1. Run the Windows Store apps troubleshooter
Microsoft Store is an applicable app that can be fixed with the Windows Store apps troubleshooter. The Windows Store Apps troubleshooter probably won’t fix error 0x87E10BD for everyone, but it might still help some users. So try to run this troubleshooter as follows:
- To access settings, click begin and open that app using the menu button (the gear icon) or the pinned shortcut. You can also try any other method to open Settings in Windows.
- Next, select Troubleshooting to display three navigation options.
- Open the troubleshooting tools list by selecting Other problem solvers.

4. Recreate the AUInstallAgent folder

- Entry AUInstallAgent for the title of the new folder and press Input.
- Then go to the start menu and click on reboot.
5. Verify that the Microsoft installer service is running
The Microsoft Store installer service affects the installation of UWP apps. So make sure the service is enabled and running. You can review and change the Microsoft Installer Service settings as follows:
- Click the search box or taskbar button to bring up the tool for finding apps and files.
- Input Services in the search tool box to find this app.
- press the service App search result.
- double click Microsoft Store Installation Service to open a properties window.
- Set those startup type option to Automatically.
- click begin when the Microsoft Store installer service is stopped.
- Choose Use to set the new settings for the Microsoft Store installer service.
- click OK to close the Microsoft Store installer service window.
If the Microsoft Store installer service is already running, select it to restart it. To do this, right-click on the Microsoft Store installer service and select a reboot options for that. Or press Just and begin in the properties window for this service.
6. Remove Windows startup with clean boot
Another possibility is that something in the background (an app or service) is interfering with MS Store downloads. You can remove third-party background apps and services that might be causing the 0x87E10BD0 problem by setting Windows to clean start. This startup configuration removes startup items that run automatically.
