If you want to own leather products, HP has something special in store for you.
The company just announced a new ultrabook called the HP Specter Folio. A powerful work laptop with 100% leather cover.
A harmony of classic and modern design.
The Specter Folio is HP’s attempt at a classy looking laptop that is perfect for businesses and those who want to stand out from the crowd.
The company claims that it built the laptop so that it could wrap the leather over the parts. This required that they reconsider the placement of the internals and how they would leather wrap everything.
On the one hand, we believe that the laptop has succeeded in combining a classic look and feel with modern ingenuity.
The laptop can be placed in three configurations: laptop, tent and tablet mode. Thanks to the swiveling stand that connects the display to the keyboard.
Performance that moves with the times.
The Specter Folio is optionally equipped with an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor of the 8th generation.
It would be nice to see a 9th generation Intel processor, but the 8th generation chip will be more than enough to run almost anything you throw at it.
The 13.3-inch display will also be available in two flavors of either 1080p or 4K panels. Both have touch and stylus support. It also has up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of M.2 SSD storage.
HP has claimed that the Specter Folio will give you up to 19 hours of battery life on the 1080p display and 12 hours on the 4K display. Basically, you don’t have to worry about it dying on you all day.
Finally, if you can’t find a good WiFi source on the go, the laptop supports 4G LTE connections via a SIM card slot on the back of the display.
How much to complete your leather collection?
In Malaysia, the HP Specter Folio will be available in a Cognac Brown color for $ 1,920. Admittedly, the price is quite steep.
Ultimately, it is up to you whether functionality is a key factor in your purchase or appearance.
