Intel’s latest video showed one of their Arc Alchemist graphics cards, specifically the Arc A750, in action.
The video as reported by digital trendsshow the IntelArc Map running Death Stranding at impressive framerates between 85 and 100 on default.
The graphics card runs on a Core i9-12900K processor and an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero motherboard, while using a dual-monitor setup of a 4K 120Hz Acer model and an Alienware QD OLED display. It’s clear that Intel used the Acer monitor to test the VRR (Variable Refresh Rates) features, which the A750 is fully compatible with.
The A750 is also capable of supporting HDMI 2.1, and manufacturers have the option to install a protocol converter to convert a DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1.
Analysis: Where is the release date?
The main issue with this demonstration isn’t what was shown, but what wasn’t announced, which is the release date.
Intel has so far released the Intel Arc Alchemist in China, with a limited release in India as well. But as for the global release date – so far, mom’s the word. And considering Team Blue has stiff competition from Team Red, the fact that we still don’t know when these cards will be released is worrying.
There are also some speculation that the Arc cards may not be as fast we thought at first, which if true would be another notch in the Disaster Belt. Although these speculations surrounded the A380, the same could apply to other models.
The only way we know is to get our hands on these cards for testing ourselves, so hopefully Intel will give us some solid info for a release date soon.
