Last September I covered Invoxia Smart Dog Collar at IFA 2022, where I met with Amélie Caudron, CEO of Invoxia.
Today the company comes to itself CES 2023 with its newly designed Smart dog collar enhanced with proprietary heart Imprint Technology, an advanced heart tracking technology that approximates that of human ECG data.
Dog lovers have to pay $149 for the collar and $8.25 a month for data subscriptions. Thanks to sensors and AI, the device can track and monitor the activity and location as well as the respiratory and heart values of your canine friends.
Developed in collaboration with veterinarians, Invoxia’s biometric smart collar will be able to provide preventive pet care by detecting a dog’s health problems before visible symptoms appear.
Heartprint Technology
A heartprint signature, like an EKG, provides information about each individual heartbeat by detecting and analyzing various forms of arrhythmias and other abnormalities in the resting beat pattern.
According to Invoxia, the combination of the continuous measurements of the smart collar’s sensors and the AI algorithm makes this possible 2D visual representation of a canine heart and lung system, also known as a canine heartprint signature
Instead of the traditional temporal 1D ECG signal, which is difficult to interpret over time (according to Invoxia), Heartprint Signature is a 2D representation of heartbeats displayed as a Poincare chart (see photo above) that provides relevant information about a summarizes long time.
Key Features of Invoxia Smart Dog Collar:
- Vital signs monitoring: measures resting heart rate and respiration levels and monitors the dog’s heart print signature
- Behavior/Activity Tracking: Automatically detects multiple activities and monitors the time a pet spends running, walking, eating, drinking, barking or scratching and alerts to possible skin conditions. It helps detect and monitor changes in appetite
- Location tracking: combines Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS to provide accurate location details with good battery efficiency. The integrated GPS tracking device allows owners to locate their stolen dog while wearing the Smart Collar.
- Escape Warnings: Help owners track down even the most fleeing dog.
- Geofencing: Users can set parameters and be notified when the dog walks outside the set perimeter.
- Built-in buzzer: Users can detect when a dog is nearby, hiding under a car, or trapped in a garage.
CES attendees interested in seeing the smart dog collar, it will be on display at the Invoxia booth Venetian Expo #54225. Visit smartdogcollar.com for more information
