Apple had planned to launch the iPhone 14 series sometime in early September. However, there have been some significant delays in sourcing some of the elements that go into making the iPhone 14. However, these delays will not affect the launch of the devices.
Apple, like most smartphone makers, has had some issues sourcing the parts that go into manufacturing their displays. While the display most panels were readily available, some of the generic panels are the case and all the protective elements going in front of the panel were in short supply.
This scarcity has impacted the production of iPhones with larger screens, more specifically the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Apple had allocated most of its offering to the higher-priced iPhone 14 Pro Max, so there are a good number of units available at Apple. This allows Apple to make a nice profit when the devices are put up for sale.
The iPhone 14 Max, on the other hand, isn’t in such great shape. The device was affected by the late shipment of display parts. Judging by recent reports and leaks, the iPhone 14 Max production cycles have been delayed so much that it may not go on sale right after launch as Apple had hoped.
Apple has already started testing production of the iPhone 14 and plans to mass produce it in August, just before the launch event.
One of the main reasons the iPhone 14 Pro Max had a better production run is that it uses a higher-end bezel that supports Apple’s ProMotion. The iPhone 14 Max doesn’t have this feature, so it has to use normal generic displays, which have been in short supply until now.
All in all, chances are good that when Apple will launch the devices this fall, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are available now and will be available for sale. However, the iPhone 14 Max will be in short supply by the time of launch. Or there is a possibility that it will be made available to users a few months after launch.
The iPhone 14 Max is expected to be a very popular smartphone among consumers once it is launched and will also hold a special place in the iPhone timeline as it is the first time Apple has released a 6.7-inch iPhone without pro offering features and indeed price tag.
All four devices will be introduced against this background take place in September at their fall eventas Apple will be pulling out all the stops to ensure the entire iPhone 14 family launches together.
