When you think of OLED PC monitors, you might not think of LG, even though the company makes some of the most outstanding OLED TVs. However, LG has just unveiled its latest gaming monitors, including a huge 4K OLED monitor with an impressive array of features.
In a recent press release, LG unveiled the three newest members of its UltraGear gaming monitor range: the 32GQ950, the 32GQ850 and the 48GQ900. All three integrate the company’s latest design language, the latest display technology, and an exciting array of gaming and connectivity features to keep up with the demands of today’s gamers.
Seo Young-jae, Senior Vice President and Head of the IT Business Unit at LG Electronics said, “The latest LG UltraGear gaming monitors apply cutting-edge technology and design to raise the bar for the gaming display category . Ideal for PC and console gaming, our new monitors offer features and capabilities that take the overall gaming experience to the next level. We will continue to build on the reputation of the UltraGear brand with innovative products that put gamers’ needs first.”
All three monitors feature a sophisticated design with “an even slimmer gaming aesthetic with sharp, angular stands and the new Hexagon lighting.” They all feature the latest HDMI 2.1 connectivity, allowing for variable refresh rate and support for fast 4K gaming. In addition, the monitors feature a four-pin headphone jack that lets you connect a gaming headset to chat while gaming, and support DTS Headphone:X for perfect audio clarity.
The LG 32GQ850

This 32-inch monitor offers the highest refresh rate of this entire line – a whopping 240Hz (which can be overclocked to 260Hz) with a 1ms response time for fast, smooth performance. The VESA AdaptiveSync Display-certified monitor features a QHD (2560 x 1440) Nano IPS panel with ATW polarizer technology for a perfect view from every seat. It also features 98% DCI-P3 color coverage, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and a three-sided borderless design for crisp and immersive images.
The LG 32GQ950

The LG 32GQ950 is the flagship of LG’s UltraGear range and boasts a 4K Nano IPS 1ms gaming display with realistic colors and Advanced True Wide Polarizer technology. It is also VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, achieves a brightness of 1,000 nits and has a DCI-P3 color coverage of 98%. For connectivity, you have two HDMI 2.1 ports at your disposal.
The LG 48GQ900

Last but not least certainly not least the absolutely gigantic LG UltraGear 48GQ900. The Red Dot and iF Design Award-winning monitor features a 48-inch 4K OLED self-emissive gaming display with a 120Hz refresh rate (overclocked to 138Hz) and a 0.1ms response time. It also rocks superb color accuracy, a fully borderless design and LG’s low-reflection anti-glare coating.
But that’s not all! The impressive gaming monitor also comes with a remote control that increases gaming convenience. In addition, the stand of the monitor offers optimal stability without taking up all the space on your desk.
LG also announced its first gaming mouse and pad, but didn’t share any details on photos, pricing, or availability. The gaming pad was found to have a smooth, hard surface, reversible design, and large enough to accommodate both a mouse and keyboard. It even has RGB lighting.
There’s no word yet on pricing for any of the UltraGear monitors or gaming accessories. It has been hinted that the monitors will be available from this month, but only in Japan for now. Availability for “key markets” in North America, Europe and the rest of Asia will follow soon after. We’ll share new details on this as they become available, so stay tuned.
