If you’re still subscribed to Netflix, the streamer’s new trivia game is coming to your screen on November 15th. Netflix triviaverse is a simple concept, but it’s just enough fun to keep you entertained, whether alone or with that long-lost cousin on Thanksgiving.
The trivia challenge begins with a pair of glowing eyes representing the game’s host. After you choose to play alone or with a partner, questions on a variety of topics will flash on screen and you have one minute to answer as many as you can. You choose your answers by pressing up, down, left, or right on your controller/remote’s D-Pad. When it’s your turn, your opponent gets a chance to ask the same questions. So who plays first is crucial when playing on a TV. And in triviaversethere are no ties.
If you play solo, everyone triviaverse Game has three one-minute rounds. If you play with an opponent, you get two one-minute rounds. And setup is very quick, almost instantaneous if you skip the intro.
triviaverse is just the latest in Netflix’s foray into trivia and gaming. The service was launched last April Trivia Quest. But this game was 30 minutes long and felt more kid-friendly than this new version. Unfortunately, triviaverse will not be available to everyone. Some devices, like Apple TV, do not support the game.
