Mountain just released two amazing accessories that could take your streaming content creation and gaming to the next level. The DisplayPad is a customizable keyboard with 12 display keys. The MacroPad is a 12-key RGB mechanical keyboard. Each features an angled base that tilts the keys for easy access when placed on top of your keyboard. This new keyboard accessory expands the number of dedicated function keys available to streamline your workflow.
Each button on Mountain’s DisplayPad can be customized to display any symbol, icon, or graphic that you want to help identify the function or macro. This isn’t just touchscreen like Apple’s Touch Bar. The buttons are raised so they click and move when pressed. You can even add a folder to a button. When you tap it, the display buttons change, showing up to 11 new features, plus a back button.
With folder keys, the number of possible functions is endless. Using folder keys requires multiple touches, but unlike keyboard shortcuts, you don’t have to remember what Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E does in Photoshop. You can assign the shortcut that creates a new level to a top level indicator button with a matching icon, or create a folder button that displays 11 level functions when pressed.
Mountain’s MacroPad is a little more traditional, offering 12 mechanical function keys in a six-by-two horizontal stripe. As with the DisplayPad, the keyboard can be placed up and angled, sideways, or even down as you prefer.
These new accessory content creation pads are fully programmable with Mountain’s Base Camp software, which handles button mappings, RGB lighting, and display configuration.
