Nintendo just announced a surprise Nintendo Direct livestream coming out today, Thursday, September 23rd. As with most of its directs since the Switch was released, Nintendo will be launching games for the Nintendo Switch in the future. Nintendo Directs are always a cause for excitement as they tend to bring out new game announcements. This one will focus on the company’s winter plans, which may include some surprise news. Here’s what to expect from the show.
Nintendo’s new Direct will be at. broadcast Today, September 23, 3 p.m. PT. Nintendo reports via Twitter that the live stream will take around 40 minutes. That’s about as long as his loaded E3 showcase this year.
According to Nintendo, Direct will mainly focus on Switch games, which will hit the market this winter. Expect more about Metroid horror, Shin Megami Tensei V, and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond / Luminous Pearl. Nintendo hasn’t stated if it’s just talking about its 2021 plans, so we can expect to hear more about its January and February lineup as well, which includes the following Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It is also very likely that the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate The DLC character will eventually be revealed during the event, which is sure to cause a stir – for better or for worse.
As for new announcements, there are a few rumors that could manifest here. The recent leaks in particular suggest that a collection of Game Boy Advance Castlevania games is about to hit the market. There’s a good chance we can see this revealed here.
Since Nintendo is a bit vague here, it’s not clear what is out of the question.
Two titles not to look forward to are Bayonetta 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. The former could always come up, but it hasn’t been seen at Nintendo events for a few years, so why start now? As for Zelda, the game was just revealed at E3 2021, so it’s unlikely to get another spotlight anytime soon.
