Square Enix has announced that its new mobile game Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is available now. The newly released mobile game is based on the popular Octopath Traveler series. Players can experience a new original story set in the world of Orsterra, set a few years before Octopath Traveler.
Square Enix is giving out the following in-game rewards for exceeding 700,000 pre-registrations:
- 5,000 sheets
- 16 Experience Nuts (M)
- 20 Golden Lodestones
- 1 Gloves of the Pursuer I
- 300 Rupees
In Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, players are known as “the Chosen One” and battle enemies intent on bringing darkness to the land. The game will feature the 2D pixel art with 3D/CG effects popularized by the original game.
Players also have the option to choose from a roster of 64 in-game characters at launch, and can engage up to eight party members in battle using swipe controls for fast-paced combat. Additionally, players will have the option to add Tressa Colzione to their roster via two Guide Lights, as well as the Chosen Traveler: Tressa and the Sacred Guide: Tressa.
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent allows players to choose their adventure and features multiple interactions with NPCs. How you speak to them will determine how they see you. Last but not least, Yasunori Nishiki, the composer who worked on Octopath Traveler, returns in the latest installment of exclusive music for the game.
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a free mobile game. You can download it on the Apple App Store and google play.
