Ahead of the holiday season, and in line with Microsoft’s Windows 11 rollout, Samsung just got a major update to its Galaxy Book laptopsall of which run on Windows 11. Today is the Galaxy book ($ 749.99 +), Galaxy Book Odyssey ($ 1399.99+) and Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G ($ 1399.99+) go to the next level.
Of the three the new ones Galaxy Book Odyssey (Photo above) is most interesting because it offers the most performance for the weight. Technically, it should work like an entry-level gaming laptop, but still look like a typical thin (18mm) and lighter (4.08 lbs) 15.6-inch computer.
Corporate users would get a very powerful boardroom-friendly chassis system with no RGB light everywhere. However, this computer could support complex scientific applications as well as great entertainment during a business trip. There are plenty of ports including a microSD reader (full SD would have been best).
Creative professionals who do video editing or intense photoshopping might be interested in the 6 cores Core i7-11600H CPU and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Graphics processor and 1 TB memory. For me, the maximum RAM capacity of 32 GB is also what makes it “creative-friendly” for people who work with large data sets.
the Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G is an ultra-light (2.43 Lbs), ultra-thin (11.43mm), ultra-connected (5G), multimedia convertible laptop that comes with a superb AMOLED display that is compatible with Samsung’s S Pen.
This laptop is not designed for high performance, it focuses on ease of use. It is designed to maximize your experience watching movies, surfing the web, or sketching when you have low computer requirements. As a result, you can configure it with a Core i7-1165G7, 16GB and 512GB of storage.
The basics Galaxy book Rather, it is about achieving a good balance between quality and affordability. The general build is pretty decent, but it’s neither very thin (15.5mm) nor light (3.51 lbs). The appealing design and Samsung brand may attract users, but there is quite a bit of competition in this market segment.
We’ll see what the final Galaxy Book specs are, but Samsung mentions a “dedicated graphics card” and 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen display, which sounds like a decent base.
To update: Samsung sent us the specifications in the table below:
The Galaxy Book should be available from today at Samsung.com, and the Galaxy Book Odyssey will also be released on November 11th on BestBuy.com, Amazon, Microsoft.com, MicroCenter and NewEgg.
