Samsung returns to in-person launch events with the February 1, 2023 upcoming Samsung Unpacked, instead in San Francisco, California, at the Masonic Auditorium. Obviously we love this choice because Ubergizmo is just minutes from the venue. Still, it’s also a brilliant choice as the US East Coast is usually plagued by flight delays during the winter season – plus it’s much warmer here in California.
Samsung didn’t say what the Unpacked event would be about, but given historical precedent, it’s hard to think of anything other than that Samsung Galaxy S23 series. We’ll know soon enough, but it’s 99.99% certain.
We are particularly interested in what is to come S23 camera (especially the S23 Ultra) and the Samsung 200 MP sensor will likely appear in one of the models. Let’s see how it performs in our CAMERA HW benchmark. So far the S22 Ultra is one of the best camera systems out there and certainly a very well balanced one without tons of filter gimmicks.
The event begins at 10 a.m. PT; You can watch it live on Samsung.com and other places like YouTube.
Samsung is offering pre-order reservation incentives for the new devices (Samsung Reservations), with a credit of up to $100 for two devices and $50 for a single device. The company usually offers excellent rewards and values, including unique colors, on their official website. We can’t wait to see what Samsung will unbox, so stay tuned and subscribe to our updates.
