Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, stars of AMC’s Breaking Bad, are reprising their characters for a Super Bowl commercial, and a new teaser has been revealed.
Cranston and Paul, who played Walt and Jesse on the show, reunite to promote the snack PopCorners. In the new teaser, Walt nibbles on a bag while Jesse tries to start the RV/meth lab. The teaser pays homage to the scene from Season 2 Episode 9 where Walt and Jesse are trapped in the desert because Jesse accidentally left the key in the ignition, draining the battery. If the RV interior looks the way you remember it, that’s because it’s the exact same interior set used at the AMC show years ago.
Walt and Jesse are joined by Breaking Bad character Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz) in the Super Bowl commercial for PopCorners, owned by PepSiCo. The TV spot will be directed by none other than Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. by variety.
This isn’t the first time Cranston and Paul have reprised their roles since Breaking Bad ended in 2013. Paul starred as Jesse in the Breaking Bad movie El Camino, while both Paul and Cranston returned in the final season of the Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul.
