Sony released a sneak peek of its upcoming Gran Turismo movie last night during its CES 2023 press conference, and as expected, it includes plenty of fast vehicles.
With David Harbor (stranger things), Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings) and David Barnet (I have never) and directed by Neil Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) Gran Turismo is based on a true story. This story is about the GT Academy competition, which was a real competition held by Sony and Nissan between 2008 and 2016. Winners received access to Nissan’s driver development program, as noted by Chronicle of Video Games. The film seems to tell the story of someone who got into this program and then became a real hit in the racing world.

Gran Turismo hits theaters later this year on August 11th.
