Spotify has long been the king of playlists in the streaming music universe, and now that it has partnered with Netflix, you also have access to dozens of official playlists and soundtracks for shows like La Casa De Papel (Money robbery), Narcos: Mexico, Outer banks, Squid game, tick, tick … boom !, and Cowboy bebop. You can find it from November 23rd on Spotify’s new Netflix hub or simply by searching for “netflix”.
The Netflix hub, which is available for both free and premium pricing plans, will also host several Netflix-focused podcasts, such as Okay, now listen, Netflix is a daily joke, 10/10 would recommend, and Die Krone: The official podcast.
It’s not the first time Spotify and Netflix have partnered. Spotify had previously released an improved album experience for the Netflix Western The harder they fall, with a soundtrack edited by Jay-Z. There was also a content target for La Casa De Papel, Part 5 Volume 2. Both collections can now be found on the Netflix hub.

Think of the Netflix hub as another arrow in Spotify’s quiver as it does everything it can to keep competitors like Apple Music and Amazon Music at bay. If it proves popular with Spotify, you can bet Apple and Amazon are considering similar features for their music services, as they too have streaming video services that they can take advantage of. Ted Lasso Playlists, anyone?
In addition to new content, Spotify has also optimized its functions. You can now stop people from following you on Spotify, and the mobile app finally has synced texts, a feature subscribers have been asking for. However, it is unclear when the company will finally keep its promise to bring a hi-fi streaming option to market.
