Samsung’s Galaxy A range is perfect for people who don’t want to spend a thousand dollars (or more) on a smartphone, and the next entry into the mid-range could arrive as soon as next week.
Samsung’s Indian branch has just announced an event that will showcase a brand new Galaxy A smartphone. While it’s not confirmed if this is the Galaxy A54 or not, the site does mention a handful of specs, such as: B. a 120 Hz screen, a “no shake” camera and 8 GB RAM. We also have three color options including burgundy, black and green.
These specs probably don’t mean much on their own, but have been linked to the unreleased Galaxy A54 in the past thanks to leaks and rumours. While it’s not mentioned by name, it’s not exactly difficult to figure out which phone it might be.
Of course, this is an event in India, but Samsung’s Galaxy A5x range is selling well everywhere, including in the US. It’s very likely that the company will choose to sell the phone in India first (where it faces stiff competition from companies like Xiaomi and may need a head start) and a global release to follow later. It also might not want to distract much from its next big release, the Galaxy S23 series, which is also said to be launching in the next few weeks.
