What’s good for everyone, it’s another day of Wordle! It’s July 26th and today’s word is a bit tricky. Has anyone else felt that Wordle answers have become increasingly difficult? Some people thought it got harder after the New York Times takeover, but what seems more likely is that with 400 answers, we finally got off the part of the dictionary we’re most familiar with. Have you tried today’s Wordle? It’s a word I’m most familiar with as slang, but I don’t think it’s any more common either. Did you get today’s wordle yet? It took a while so don’t fret about it. Today’s Wordle is… foolproof. In other words, today’s word wasn’t necessarily what it meant. “Cinch” is an interesting word because it seems like most of its definitions have fallen out of favor over time. Colloquially it means simple, but people are less and less using it that way. To fasten something means to secure it, which probably arose from its original meaning: an item of equipment that fastens a saddle to an animal’s back. So now you know a lot more about the word “cinch” than you probably ever expected. Let’s make it popular again.
That’s all for today’s Wordle, but check back later in the week for more hints!
