It’s the weekend! In a week that has seen the Mario movie delayed, the announcement of an Xbox/Bethesda showcase, and the surprise reveal of Disney Dreamlight Valley, we’re ready to sit back and unwind. That game informant The staff schedule a variety of activities, from sports balls to watching TV to playing those crazy video games. Read on to find out what we’re up to and let us know your plans too!
brian shea – This weekend I’ll continue my playthrough of Kirby and the Forgotten Land and play more of MLB The Show 22. With any luck I’ll have some extra time and can start Lego Star Wars.
Wesley LeBlanc – After going platinum on Elden Ring a couple of weeks ago I decided it was time to finally beat Horizon: Forbidden West and shortly thereafter I decided to get that platinum trophy as well. After 56 hours with Guerrilla’s latest, I’m feeling a little empty with the Horizon series. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed both Horizon: Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, and the latter improves on almost everything the former did. It also looks amazing and its sound design is top notch. However, I feel like it was so iterative that it never really got beyond the initial “neat” I said out loud when I first booted it up. It’s a great game and I would basically recommend it to anyone who likes open world games, but I don’t think I’ve ever been really impressed. With that behind me, I continue to use this relatively quiet period in gaming to complete Grand Theft Auto V (for the first time in my life!) and continue to work my way through Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Mark Steward – Vidya games! Have you heard of these things? There are many of them and I am struggling to keep track of them all. I hit 100 hours in Elden Ring this week and my adventure continues. I will also split the time between Weird West, Rogue Legacy 2 and Nobody Saves the World.
Kim Wallace – I intend to finish Tokyo Vice this weekend, which I really enjoyed. My Bulls got eliminated, so tonight I’m cheering for the Timberwolves to piss off the Grizzlies. I need sport in my life even if my teams are out of the playoffs. Other than that, I’ll probably read some comics (I’m still working through the Amazon arc process) and catch up on a few games.
John Carson – Greetings from Portland! I’m on the road (and in the air) this weekend, so my Switch will be my main gaming console for the next few days. I’ll be jamming in some Hades and Xenoblade Chronicles and checking out the new Magic set on Arena when I have an hour to sit down and play through a draft.
What entertaining pranks will you indulge in this weekend? Share your plans in the comments!
